Central Coast tourism businesses are set to receive a boost from the NSW Government’s launch of a major tourism marketing campaign that promotes regional NSW.

Parliamentary Secretary for the Central Coast and Member for Terrigal Adam Crouch said the campaign coincides with travel restrictions being eased.

“The Central Coast has so much to offer holidaymakers and this new campaign targets NSW, Victorian and ACT residents who are eager to get back on the road and travelling,” Mr Crouch said.

“The campaign is called Now’s The Time To Love NSW and there sure is plenty to love about the Central Coast, including our beaches and national parks, cafes and restaurants, and a range of accommodation.

“Thousands of visitors from all over the world travel to the Central Coast each year, but now it’s time for residents in NSW to discover what makes our communities special.”

Member of the Legislative Council Taylor Martin said the campaign encourages people to turn travel dreams into reality.

“NSW residents took almost 2 million international leisure trips last year worth $16.7 billion so there is a huge opportunity to entice our overseas holidaymakers to become NSW’s next top travelers,” Mr Martin said.

“The cumulative effect of drought, fires, flooding and COVID-19 has been devastating for Central Coast businesses, so we’re asking everyone who can take a holiday to hit the road or get planning as soon as possible.”

The NSW Government’s tourism marketing campaign – called Now’s The Time To Love NSW – will run throughout June and July, and includes:

–       A new TV ad and social media advertising highlighting top NSW arts, hiking, wine, family and outdoor adventure experiences,

–       Local Stories video series starring tourism operators inviting travelers to visit,

–       A dedicated webpage showing the top 213 ways to reboot 2020 in NSW, and

–       International digital advertising to keep overseas visitors dreaming of NSW.
