Member for Terrigal Adam Crouch has welcomed the re-opening of Somersby Falls in the Brisbane Water National Park after the completion of a $2.04 million upgrade fully funded by the previous Liberal-National Government in 2021.
Mr Crouch said the upgrade was yet again another example of the former Liberal-National Government’s record funding provided to the Central Coast to further enhance our spectacular natural wonders, which also included upgrades to Crackneck Lookout and Bouddi National Park.
“I am proud to have secured the $2.04 million in funding from the former Liberal-National Government that has delivered this spectacular upgraded which will be enjoyed by thousands of people every year.”
“Somersby Falls is one of the Central Coast’s most iconic and photographed locations, and these multimillion-dollar improvement will now further enhance the visitor experience for everybody.”
Mr Crouch said that on average approximately 100,000 people visited Somersby Falls annually and given the upgrade funded by the former Government, it will only increase.
“I only expect these numbers to increase, and I want to acknowledge the great team from the National Parks and Wildlife Service delivering this truly outstanding upgrade for our community.” said Mr Crouch
