Seven new probationary constables will commence duties across the Central Coast this week after they graduated at the attestation ceremony at the Goulburn Police Academy last week.
Parliamentary Secretary for the Central Coast Adam Crouch welcomed the new police officers to the region.
“Five Probationary Constables have been allocated to the Brisbane Water Police District and a further two have been allocated to the Tuggerah Lakes Police District,” Mr Crouch said.
“Our men and women in blue put their lives on the line every day to protect the community. I thank and congratulate every single one of these officers for choosing to join the Force and I wish them all a long and successful career.
“Last year our community welcomed 25 new Probationary Constables. It is a pleasure to welcome an additional seven today to the Central Coast.”
Deputy Premier and Minister for Police Paul Toole congratulated the newest recruits in Goulburn.
“Police officers on the frontline serve and protect our communities right across the State every day,” Mr Toole said.
“We don’t often see a major event or emergency without also seeing the men and women in blue on the ground doing what they can, whether it’s responding to a natural disaster like the current flooding crisis, a car accident or a public protest or major event.
“The NSW Government is proud to support this new Class of probationary constables as they embark on their careers.”
Class 351 includes 133 men and 60 women. Some recruits entered the NSW Police Academy straight from school or university, while others left established professional careers and trades.
