Member for Terrigal Adam Crouch will today present to the Local Government Minister a petition calling for a Public Inquiry into Central Coast Council.

Mr Crouch said 5,293 local residents had signed the petition in the space of just two weeks.

“Our community expects the NSW Government to do everything in its power to prevent the Councillors from returning to public office,” Mr Crouch said.

“I am requesting the Local Government Minister establish a Public Inquiry, which would prevent the Councillors from being reinstated next Thursday.

“A Public Inquiry would also expose who was responsible for the Council’s debt totalling $565 million, and would help to ensure these terrible mistakes and failings are never repeated.”
