Jilliby Road and Hue Hue Road at Jilliby will undergo rehabilitation work thanks to Round 3 of the NSW Government’s Fixing Local Roads program.

Parliamentary Secretary for the Central Coast and Member for Terrigal Adam Crouch said Central Coast Council will receive $1,000,113 to upgrade approximately 2.5 kilometres of road surface.

“The proposed works include stabilisation of the road’s base layer, spray sealing, clearing and reshaping the table drain, and renewing the line markings,” Mr Crouch said.

“This latest funding is in addition to $3.4 million already announced for eight different Central Coast roads through the Fixing Local Roads program.

“This program helps Council to tackle the increasing amount of work required to make local roads safe, like repairing, patching, maintaining and sealing.”

Central Coast Council Administrator Rik Hart said grant funding plays an important part in helping Council deliver vital road infrastructure for the region.

“Council appreciates the support from the NSW Government under this program which assists in delivering important road renewal works for our community,” Mr Hart said.

“Council is co-contributing $230,000 towards these works which will result in an improved road surface and rideability for motorists travelling along Jilliby Road and Hue Hue Road.”

The provision of funding is conditional upon each project being completed within two years, to ensure local communities see the benefits as quickly as possible.
