Member for Terrigal Adam Crouch has welcomed the start of Heart Week 2023 as an opportunity to raise awareness about heart health and encouraging people to reduce their heart disease risk.
“Heart Week is held at the start of May each year and provides great opportunity to encourage people to be mindful about the importance of maintaining good heart health.
“Cardiovascular disease affects more than 4 million Australians, and the Terrigal electorate alone has over five percent of people affected by cardiovascular disease – higher than the national and state averages”
Mr Crouch is calling on the community to take three simple steps to keep your heart healthy – measure your blood pressure, calculate your heart age and book a heart health check.
