Glenworth Valley is set to receive a stimulus boost with an influx of visitors set to spend up ahead of this weekend’s Glenworth Grazing Food and Wine Festival, thanks to the NSW Government’s Regional Events Acceleration Fund.
Parliamentary Secretary Adam Crouch said a $86,400 grant for the Glenworth Grazing Food and Wine Festival will ensure the event is bigger and better than ever.
“Glenworth Valley Food and Wine Festival, in its fourth year of operation, is one of the Central Coast’s most premier highlight events,” Mr Crouch said.
“Over the June long weekend, Glenworth Grazing Food and Wine Festival will house the region’s finest restaurants, boutique stall holders, delicatessens, winery’s, craft breweries and distilleries all within the beautiful natural surrounds of Glenworth Valley.
“I am delighted to be able to provide Glenworth Valley with this funding, ensuring this year’s event is even better than previous years.”
Deputy Premier and Minister for Regional NSW Paul Toole said money is rolling out across Regional NSW assisting local events go from strength to strength.
“Since its inception, the Regional Events Acceleration Fund has supported the delivery and development of 85 events, with more than one million visitors travelling to the regional areas where these events are held,” Mr Toole said.
Festival organiser Mia Lawler said the funding would be used to ensure this year’s festival was bigger and better than ever with an amazing music line-up, and more amenities for guests.
“This funding has allowed us to book a nationally recognised line up, attracting a larger audience, while also being able to improve event infrastructure with increased seating, shelter and amenities,” Mrs Lawler said.
“This funding has allowed us to not only improve the quality of this year’s festival but appeals to a larger and more diverse audience than ever before, ensuring the longevity and significance of the event while stimulating the regional economy.”
Applications for Round Two of the Regional Events Acceleration Fund are now open and close 5pm Tuesday, October 4, 2022.
